Put Down Our Weapons, Baby

#nowplaying Love After War by Robin Thicke

Like a goddess and a lover,

..when Aphrodite created the cardinal crimson rose from her own blood and tears, pricking herself on the deadly thorns of a lush rosebush while attempting to tend to her slain lover, Adonis, in her yearning and passion for him.

I personally find there is absolutely nothing more romantic than a single red rose. Its significance and strength lie in its simplicity and rich, decadent history, speaking volumes and saying so much with so little. It is as beautiful as it is powerful, inspiring artists everywhere, the world over. I’d definitely take it over an extravagant bouquet anytime.

So just drink this glass of wine, and give me some love after war.
